Considerations - Please read carefully

Please remember this is an outdoor event taking place in the British 'summertime'. The weather will be unpredictable, so please bring layers and wear appropriate footwear (floral attire encouraged!). Feel free to bring a blanket, and we highly recommend bringing a torch for getting about the garden at dusk/getting back to your car. As this is an outdoor event there will be no Powerpoint facilities for delegates - all associated visual material will be available electronically, and printed versions will be available at the registration desk (we do, however, encourage you to bring phones/ipads to minimise the impact on the environment).

As this is a National Trust property, the House has restricted opening hours. The property of Monk's House will only be open until 5pm, with last admission at 4.45pm. If you wish to see inside the property, please arrive prior to this time, and normal admission applies. Admission prices and opening times can be found here: https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/monks-house.

If you have any specific dietary requirements/accessibility requirements, please email botanicalmodernisms@gmail.com and let us know. Vegan options shall be available on the day. Accessibility copies of papers will be available from the registration desk.

If you wish to bring your car, please email botanicalmodernisms@gmail.com to allow for the allocation of parking on site. Carpooling is recommended, this is an environmentally friendly event! See 'Travel' for more details.

All remaining proceeds from this event shall be donated to Monk's House to support the wonderful work that they do.

PLEASE NOTE: This event is not just for academics! All interested parties are welcome to attend.

I look forward to welcoming you to Monk's House on Saturday 17th August!
